Thanks to all who commented on yesterdays photo. Phil over at P.A. Photography commented on it being an HDR image. While true, in todays parlance its not. The shot was a combination of 3 shots. 1 metered for the sky and one metered for the sea. As I always bracket my landscapes, I also took the a small section of the 1 stop down image from the Sea metered series and stuck it over the burnt highlights of the sun reflection on the sea. So, while I have captured 3 ranges of light, it wasnt done in Photomatix or FDR tools.
This is a study shot and reminds me of why I like going to the coastline. So many colors, textures, shapes and visions of motion that are never the same. PP in PSCS4 with curves, boost in saturation and a vignette.

Maybe someday you will right a small tutorial how you combined them in photshop (layers,masking) etc to me it looks much better than full on HDR
