Chromasia Tutorials | Thursday Nov 08, 2007
Heres a departure for me. This isn\'t my photo. Hopefully its self explanatory. Its a HUGE plug for the Chromasia online tutorials. 2 years ago I was cruising the web, somehow I stumbled upon David Nightingales photoblog. For years I have been interested in photography but didn\'t do anything about it. Once I saw Davids site I was hit with a bolt of creativity. I shot him an email and thanked him for starting me off-like I said, that was 2 years ago and I haven\'t looked back. However, Im not the only one, If you look at most photoblog\'s on the web, Chromasia is more than likely the single driving influence for the creation of photoblogs over the last 2-3 years. What David did was show that you can produce amazing images at home with everyday cameras and software accessible to all. The difference is, he put hundreds of hours into studying not only the art of Photography, but also the post processing techniques using Photoshop. With Photoshop there are many ways to do one thing. Knowing them all will enable you to choose the right technique for different photos. A lot of tutorials out there only give you one way of doing things. David takes the time in each tutorial to go through all the options and explain what are his prefrences and why. At last count I have nearly 25 books on Photoshop. Davids Tutorials still taught me something. It may seem as a rather long plug for Chromasia and unusual to do. Im doing it because: 1. David took the time in Jan to go out and shoot with me for an afternoon and share some tips-For free. 2. Chromasia is now a full time career for David and Libby-To be a Professional Photographer is something I would love to do, but as I dont have the balls or talent to do so, the least I can do to support \"Those That Do\" 3. By supporting the Tutorials we will get more of Davids secrets-That will make me a better Post Processor. 4. Some of my images have been called \"Chromasia-ish\" Have to pay back blatant plagiarism. End of plug!

Thanks for the kind review, it's very much appreciated. And I hope you continue to enjoy the tutorials in the future.
Best wishes,
